Why ATM/Debit Card?

Consumers like the convenience to pay with they ATM or debit card for their purchases. If the card is not a "Check Card" with a Visa or MasterCard logo, the merchant will have to process the transaction through an ATM network. If the card is however a "Check Card", it is cheaper for you to process it as a Debit Card opposed to a Credit Card.

ATM and Debit Networks

There are many ATM and Debit networks. An ATM network is however not necessarily a Debit network and visa-versa. U.S. Merchant Systems can easily connect merchants up with all the necessary networks in order to process these transactions. Specifically merchants in high tourist areas should take full advantage of this.
